Flowers and Things

We have not been up to much lately; just wishing and praying that Spring would arrive...and stay. It sure would be nice if the sun would come out and stay for more than a day at a time. I am starting to worry that Family Campout in a few weeks is going to be mighty chilly.

Anyhoo, here are my presents for Mother's Day, from various sources.

From left to right:
1- A bean plant that Davis grew in school and is now home waiting to be planted in the garden.
2- A purple flower that Davis chose and potted himself at King's. They had a flower potting activity for kids the day before Mother's Day.
3- Claire's red flower from King's Free Potting Day.
4- Another purple flower from Davis for Mother's Day. It came in a colored pot with his own Anagram (made at school).
M - Mom, you're the best piano player I've ever seen.
O - Only you are the best piano player and teacher.
T - Thank you for teaching me how to read.
H - Happy mother's day on Sunday.
E - Each day you help me with piano.
R - Roses are red, violets are blue, you love me and I love you.

5- The tomato plant I received at church yesterday. What happened to geraniums? I guess they're trying to tell us to get started on our food storage!

Dave gave me this flower assortment which double as a "Service Basket." On those six sticks are coupons for much begged for work, like "Laundry for a whole week done by Dave" or "Wash all the windows on the house." I am officially an old mom since this made me happier than ever!

But I wanted to share these cards that the kids made at the Library for storytime on Friday. It was a Mother's Day card where they had to draw a picture of me, then answer questions about me. I've seen Penny do this with her kids before, and the answers sure make you stop and think about how your kids view you.
