Give Me A Break!

Spring Break found us, where else...Utah! We had a great few days and it was wonderful to have some time to hang out with family. Here's our family vacate, backwards, because I'm trying to stimulate some brain activity for myself.

Monday - Drove back home, with even Davis saying, "I wish we could stay in Utah." The mountain of laundry when we unpack after a visit is almost enough to make me stay put in Idaho!

Sunday - Spent the day in Kaysville for baby Lilah's blessing. Kelly made yummy Mexi food and all the Vellingas had lots to gab about. (Sorry, no pics. Whoops.)

Saturday - We went with Mike, Pam and Kristen and Dave's Dad down to Salt Lake on the FrontRunner Train. It was really cool; pretty slick, although a little pricey. But get the family pass and it's not bad. We took the kids to Temple Square because they've never been. It was a cloudy day, but not too cold. Then we rode Trax to the Gateway for some ice-cream before heading home.

Saturday morning, the Easter Bunny came a day early so as not to interfere with getting ready for early Stake Conference for my parents. Kristen was the best aunt, as always, and helped my kids find every last egg in the yard.

Friday, we went to the Hogle Zoo. My mom and Kristen tagged along, and my sister Erin and her kids met us there. There were TONS of people, but the weather was perfect so we saw lots of animals out. Thanks Mom, for buying the Grandma pass to get us all in! Oh, this first picture of Sadie was just too funny to leave out. She was looking for her last Kix cereal that was in the corner of the cupholder on the stroller.

Thursday - Since it was raining, Kelly brought her girls over to play and keep us company. We miss our cousins, so thanks so much!

Later that day, we went to meet our newest cousin, Owen Thomas Little. He was born that morning to Dave's sister Melissa. What a sweetie; he looks just like Madelyn, but with dark hair....and an extra piece of equipment!

Wednesday - Drove to Utah after Dave got off work; and here is where I include pictures of my newly painted kids' rooms because they don't really apply to our trip, but I'm glad they're finished.

Very cute rooms for your kids. Sounds like you guys had so much fun last weekend! Hopefully we can have as much fun this weekend--although probably considerably less sleep. :)

Kids rooms look great! But I do have to give you a really hard time for not having taken your kids to Temple Square prior to now! OF all people Mani you are the one I would have thought would have taken them the day they were born!
