1. Sneezing and Coughing and wiping noses and losing LOTS of sleep as a bad cold circulates through the whole family. Sadie has the joy now and while I was up every hour last night because she couldn't breathe and suck the binky at the same time, I thought, "Does my throat hurt?" NOOOOOO!!!
2. Monday for Family Home Evening, we went to the farm of a gal Dave works with to see their lambs. Davis and Claire thought it was great to watch them jump all around; I couldn't believe how active they are for only 4 or 5 days old. And then I thought, "We are so pathetic. We have got to be the only people in Idaho who are city enough that seeing lambs in the dead of winter is cool." We made up a couple of points on the cool scale by playing Rock Band on the Wii in their house afterwards.
3. Listening to Claire say, "Mom, what should I doooo?" as Davis goes to school, to friend's houses, to fun Young Men's activities with Dave. And then every suggestion I give is turned down with whining unless I give in to a movie.
4. Speaking of Young Men's activities, Davis went last night to a rock climbing wall with Dave and the Priests. He was so proud of himself because he made it to the top 4 times. I was bummed I didn't think to send them with the camera.
5. Speaking of cameras, does anyone know why brand new batteries would not hold a charge longer than 1 hour in the digital camera. I have tried charging 3 different sets of batteries over the last couple of months and they all do the same thing. Is this a problem with my camera or is my charger gone bad? Has this happened to anyone else? Help! this is why I have no pics to post.
6. I did get these cutie pie pictures of Sadie the other week. Learning to climb up stairs and stand up and crawl everywhere is so fun...for the one minute a day you're not chasing them down and saving them from their death.
7. Speaking of death, the other day I was changing batteries in a toy and Claire wanted to help, so I gave cher a tiny screwdriver. She was poking it into all the screw holes she could find on toys. An hour later I was making lunch and I see her putting the screwdriver into the holes on an electrical socket. I screamed and it made her stop JUST in time. I don't even want to think about how I would have explained that to Dave.
8. A great thing about January was the birth of a new niece in my family. My sister Kelly had Girl #5 on January 20th....Lilah Ryan Hadley. Isn't that a cute name? We got to see her a couple of weeks ago and she's another beautiful redhead.
Thanks for letting me ramble. Post away, bloggers!

Awww, I love little Sadie's big gummy grin! What a cutie! I totally agree with the whole winter ordeal, at least one person is always sick in this house, it just keeps getting passed around. UGH!
Cute pictures! Love little Miss Sadie's great big smile. What a sweetheart. Sorry you guys are still a bunch of sickies--at least I know we're not alone in our gross colds. :) BTW, I have had the same problem with our stupid digital camera batteries as well. This last time, Travis bought them, and they were rechargeable Lithium batteries, and they seem to be doing much better. A tad more expensive to begin with, but fairly comparible to buying a new set every stinking time I want to use the camera. Hope that helps! See you Monday!!
I totally get how awful january and february are now that I have a kid myself. She has been sick several times but luckily nothing to bad.
As for the camera batteries, ours did the same thing so Mitch found some rechargable ones at walmart in there discount aisle and it is much better.
PS- I can't believe how cute and big Sadie is getting, her smile is just too contagious.
two cutie pies it looks like. climbing stairs is fun! (until you fall down them, then not so much.)
So I'm thinking that Sadie looks a BIT like Claire lately. Is it just the red hair? Those pictures make me homesick--or is it awaysick--for you guys. It was fun seeing you Monday, though. I got my Mary Ann fix to last me for a while, but my kids are in desperate need of a Davis, Claire & Sadie fix. Maybe its our turn to come visit you?
Ohh, Sadie is so cute! A little Davis I must say. She has the same round face and smiley eyes! I miss you guys a ton. Can't wait to see you next time you come, and especially hang out at the cabin or scrapbooking!!! Hopefully spring is on the way. Get better:)
HA! Thanks for the laughs. I agree with you, January and February stink! I love that you went to see lambs in the dead of winter, you city kids. Sounds like something my kids would love too! (:
No ideas on your camera. That would not be fun! Good luck working it out.
I feel your pain with chasing babies up/down stairs to keep them from falling! The best day of your life will be when darling little Sadie learns how to do it by herself!
Dearest Mary Ann.
What a beautiful family. Darling kids. I felt so blessed to be able to see your children and rehearse with you.
Would you send me your address? ndoxey@weber.k12.ut.us I wanted to send you a thank you and some Tab CD's for your generous time on the piano for me. You are amazing. I wish you lived close and could play for me often, say even this Sunday. Thank you for covering for me when I came in to early.
Sincere thanks, Love, Nina
Yahoo!!! I'm glad you're in. You'll be awesome. Good luck. I'll check up on you soon.
Jack went after the outlet with a kinex piece that was long and skinny. Granted, it was the ground hole that he went after, but I think I scared him to death.
